For mathematics that has personality

GRISDD is a company working in the field of business intelligence and decision science. It helps, with mathematics, small & large companies to make better decisions on a daily basis.

Context

This project was launched in winter 2020. I was mandated by the founder, Hélène-Sarah, to build the brand image around her new company, GRISDD.

Following a discovery session, where I was able to discuss with Hélène-Sarah the different characteristics that the brand image should represent, I created a moodboard with 3 main visual themes that would serve as orientation for the logotype. Afterwards, I sketched logotype proposals in order to arrive at a winning version, chosen by the GRISDD team.

Main tasks

  • First iteration of variations to bring the brand to life on digital and in its training courses offered

Final look

GRISDD's brand is easy to approach, yet serious with a bit of personality. The logotype remains very typographic, but with curves and corners that are not always plain. The variations are minimalist in tone, often with square shapes, abstract images and compositions based on the rule of thirds, in order to give a certain base and rigidity necessary when dealing with mathematics. The content, written with comical phrases in a tone of closeness, helps to create a proximity with the brand, despite the subject of its activities that seems austere at first glance. Because just because it's numbers doesn't mean it's boring!

Stéphanie understands the design direction I have in mind for my projects. The solutions she proposes are both right on target and include innovative aspects that would never have occurred to me. And that's more than enough to justify working with a professional.
